rRNA sequences from microcosm experiments assessing the persistence of microbial communities after 12 years of no plant inputs. An experiment was conducted to examine the active microbial communities (based on rRNA) from soil samples that were part of the HJA DIRT experiment. No input and control soils were used in microcosms where Douglas fir needles were added to half the containers.
