U.S. Geological Survey Minerals Yearbook Data for Select Mineral Commodities Referenced in the U.S. Geological Survey Methodology and Technical Input for the 2025 U.S. List of Critical Minerals—Assessing the Potential Effects of Mineral Commodity Supply Chain Disruptions on the U.S. Economy

This dataset contains world production quantities, world production capacities, and United States consumption statistics for a select number of non-fuel mineral commodities published in the U.S. Geological Survey Minerals Yearbook, Volume I (Metals and Minerals) and Volume III (Area Reports — International), and cited in U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 2025-1047 ("Methodology and Technical Input for the 2025 U.S. List of Critical Minerals—Assessing the Potential Effects of Mineral Commodity Supply Chain Disruptions on the U.S. Economy") and its associated appendices. These data are presented as separate table files (entities) in CSV format for each data type (production, capacities, consumption), along with the metadata file that describes the data associated with each entity.
