Actinobacillus porcitonsillarum is a non-pathogenic Gram-negative bacterium of the Pasteurellaceae family, which phenotypically resembles the pathogen Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Previous studies suggested that Actinobacillus porcitonsillarum represents a new species, yet no full genome has been sequenced so far. The aim of this study is to provide the first full circular genome sequence of an Actinobacillus porcitonsillarum strain, i.e., of reference strain 9953L55 (CCUG 46996).
