EDUCATION REFORMS AND LANGUAGE COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT IN UZBEKISTAN: MODERN APPROACHES, DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND INTERNATIONAL INTEGRATION

This article examines the large-scale educational reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to enhance language competencies within the framework of a knowledge-based economy. Special attention is paid to the modernization of English language teaching, the strengthening of Uzbek language literacy, the integration of digital technologies into education, and the expansion of international cooperation. The study also analyzes the role of teacher professional development, CEFR-based assessment systems, and innovative pedagogical approaches in improving educational quality. Furthermore, the article discusses existing challenges related to bilingual literacy, regional disparities, and digital transformation in the educational sector. The research concludes that Uzbekistan’s educational reforms are creating favorable conditions for developing globally competitive human capital and integrating the country into the international educational environment.
