Biological transport into Antarctic region depends on dispersal vectors such as waters, winds and animals. However, birds as vectors have received minimal attention. Various studies in birds describing microbial communities are restricted and associated with the intestine and feces. However, until the present moment, there is no study describing the diversity of organisms associated with seabird feathers using metagenomics' techniques. The overall goal of this project are to describe microbial community structure transported in feathers of seabirds. These data have implications for the understanding about the dispersion of different organism in Antarctic region and others environmental in the planet.
