Laboratory and field evaluation of the aphidicidal activity of moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) leaf extract and identification of the active components

This study aimed to investigate the aphidicidal activity of moso bamboo leaf extract and the plant’s petroleum ether component in the laboratory and field, defining the most active component and the mechanism of its aphidicidal activity. The synergistic effect of the petroleum ether component with imidacloprid was investigated and the formulation of the petroleum ether component was tested in the field. The results will provide opportunities for the future development of the botanical aphidicide, while also providing a theoretical basis for the bio-activity of isoorientin and technical support for its utilization.
