Dominance Relationships and Comparative Ecology of Two Sympatric Chipmunks (Eutamias)

MASTERS THESIS: This study investigates the possible role of competition in determining the distribution of these chipmunks (Eutamias speciosus frater and E. amoenus monoensis). The comparative ecology of the two species is studied in an area of sympatry to determine whether they are utilizing resources in the same manner, and their dominance relationships are studied to determine whether one species can interfere with the other's access to resources.
