FORMATION OF LIBRARY CULTURE IN PRIMARY STUDENTS

This article scientifically analyzes the pedagogical, psychological and methodological foundations of the formation of a reading culture in primary school students. In the modern education system, one of the important tasks is to develop a reading culture in students, instill a love of books in them and form independent reading skills. Especially since the primary education stage is an important period in which a child's worldview, speech thinking and spiritual maturity are formed, the development of a reading culture at this stage is of particular importance. The article covers the content and essence of a reading culture, its impact on personal development, aspects related to the age characteristics of primary school students, and the effectiveness of modern pedagogical approaches. The results of the study show that the formation of a reading environment, family reading, interactive methods and the targeted use of fiction significantly increase students' interest in reading.
