Regenerative native grassland agriculture on large scale low rainfall farms

This project builds on the success of interstate projects that up skill land managers to assess and manage the regenerative capacity of native perennial grassland systems. It connects world class grassland health innovators with dryland agricultural farmers of the SA Murray Mallee (who have vast areas of native perennial grasses) and field officers to better manage the system to full potential for carbon storage, biodiversity, water retention and nutrient cycling. It achieves the development of specific educational resources with an action plan and 1500ha of on-ground works at a key site. It promotes the project at an international and a national grassland conference and delivers a field day for 20 local participants.
