资源简介:
To improve the understanding of virome diversity of the common vampire bat (Desmodus rotundus) in Southern Brazil, an analysis was performed with organs collected from April 2018 to May 2019, in Rio Grande do Sul State. After enrichment of virus particles and DNA/RNA extraction, paired-end Illumina sequencing was conducted and assignment to virus groups and families was performed. Viruses from five different families were detected: Anelloviridae, Circoviridae, Parvoviridae, Polyomaviridae and Coronaviridae. Complete genomes of anelovirus and circovirus were characterized, and several partial sequences were also investigated. The present study provides a snapshot of the viral diversity associated with the common vampire bat and provides a baseline for comparison to viruses detected in future outbreaks.
