Bioproduction of polyhydroxybutrate (PHB) from agro-industrial wastes by newly isolated microbial strains

This project involves the isolation of microbial strains from different environmental settings in Egypt and testing their potential for PHB production. The most promising PHB-producing isolates were genetically characterized and the genetic pathways involved in PHB production were elucidated.
