The Flemish Government wishes to encourage and facilitate the redevelopment of abandoned business parks (so-called brownfields) by concluding covenants with project promoters and investors. In doing so, the Flemish Government aims to encourage them to reuse brownfields rather than cutting greenfields for the development of industrial activities, housing or recreation.
