The identification of Helicobacter pylori infection on gastric biopsies requires the use of PCR or bacterial culture. H. pylori culture is fastidious and may remain falsely negative because of the fragility of the bacterium. The use of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) from human samples is one solution to directly have access to the resistome and virulome. We aim to describe the implementation of a new method to study directly from the gastric biopsy the bacterial resistome and virulome of H. pylori, based on the enrichment and sequencing of H. pylori DNA.This technique should allow us to easily access H. pylori resistome and virulome directly from gastric biopsies.
