Single cell RNA sequencing of urine sediment from early and advanced Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) patients

Urine sediment collected from patients diagnosed with early and advanced DKD are subject to single cell RNA sequencing. The resulting data are used to define early tubule injury/repairing signatures. Three female and five male hospitalized patients who diagnosed as DKD are enrroled in the study, with age range of 49–78 years old. Based on their eGFR, 8 patients are assigned into early DKD (eGFR ≥ 30 ml/min/1.73 m²) and advanced DKD (eGFR<30 ml/min/1.73 m²) group respectively. We used morning urine samples for the urine cell scRNA-sequencing. Due to the limited cell number in the urine samples, the 8 samples were combined for two batches, each batch contains 2 early and 2 advanced subjects.
