Processed Multibeam Sonar Data (version 1) from the Southern Pacific Ocean acquired during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP9908 (1999)

This data set was acquired with a SeaBeam Instruments model 2112 multibeam sonar system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP9908 conducted in 1999 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Steve Cande). These data files include Acoustic Backscatter, Sidescan, Swath Bathymetry data and were processed at sea using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, beginning with version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic Reconstructions of the Southwest Pacific, and funding was provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation.本数据集采集自1999年执行的Nathaniel B. 帕尔默号科考航次NBP9908，搭载SeaBeam Instruments 2112型多波束声呐系统（multibeam sonar system），本次航次首席科学家为Steve Cande博士。所收录的数据文件包含声学背散射数据、侧扫数据与条带测深数据，全部采用开源MB-System多波束声呐处理软件（MB-System multibeam sonar processing software）在海上完成数据处理。本数据集自版本1起被纳入GMRT合成数据集（GMRT Synthesis），属于“西南太平洋白垩纪晚期及新生代重建”项目的科考成果，由美国国家科学基金会（U.S. National Science Foundation）提供资助。
