Habituation of wild black-and-white ruffed lemurs (Varecia variegata) in Vohibe Forest, Madagascar

The files presented in this repository contains the datasets we used in the analysis of our research concerning the "Habituation of wild black-and-white ruffed lemurs (Varecia variegata) in Vohibe Forest, Madagascar".The file "Hab_data_5min.csv" contains the dataset we used to analyze the changes in the activity budget during the habituation of the black-and-white ruffed lemurs in Vohibe. The file includes the nine behavioral categories recorded during the 5-minute instantaneous scans with their daily number, and the total number of 5-minute scans for that day. Each column is explained as:GROUP: subgroup ID followed (VV1, VV2, VV3)FOCAL: focal ID (We did not analyze the focal ID as it was possible that we switched focal during the day)DATE: date of data collection (dd/mm/yy)WEEKS: week code representing the date of the study, including weeks that we did not collect dataOBSERVATION_WEEKS: week code representing the date of data collectionDAYS: day code representing its calendar week spent during the habituation, including days with no data collectedOBSERVATION_DAYS: day code representing its respective observation weekBEHAVIOR: nine behavioral categoriesNUMBER: daily number recorded for each behaviorTOT_NUMBER: total number of 5-minute scans for each dayThe file "Hab_Occ.csv" contains the dataset used to analyze the changes to the rates of behavioral bouts during the habituation of the black-and-white ruffed lemurs in Vohibe.
