The aim of this study is to comprehensively charatcterizethe transcriptional and epigenetic profile of circulating neutrophils from COPD patients and to explore correlations with neutrophils' functional dysregulation and clinical disease parameters. Overall design: Chromatin immunoprecipitation DNA-sequencing (ChIP-seq) for histone modification H3K4me3 in circulating neutrophils from COPD patients and sex- and age-matched control donors.
