Active control of the free surface of a rivulet of a nematic liquid crystal with an electric field

The dataset titled "Active Control of the Free Surface of a Rivulet of a Nematic Liquid Crystal with an Electric Field" comprises raw images for Figure 2 and data for Figures 3 as reported in the article in Physical review Fluids.

The files with names starting “Figure2” are the raw .TIF images used for creating the top and side view images shows in Figure 2 (a) and (b).

The file “Figure 3a_Experimental Data.xlsx” includes the experimental data presented in Figure 3a for a 5CB rivulet flowing at volume fluxes of Q=250, 500, and 1000 nL/s.

The file “Figure 3a_Inset_Experimental Data.xlsx” contains control data displayed in the inset of Figure 3a. This data pertains to two controls first Propylene Glycol rivulet flowing at a volume flux of 𝑄=275 nL/S and second liquid crystals LCT 07-1132 rivulet flowing at a volume flux of Q=500nL/s.

The file “Figure 3b_Experimental_Data.xlsx” includes experimental data presented in Figure 3b for 5CB rivulet plotted as a function of the prescribed flux Q for V = 0 V and V = 1000 V.
