In this study, Trevesia palmata leaves were collected from Mizoram, India, and processed to obtain a methanolic extract using Soxhlet extraction. The larvicidal efficacy of the extract was evaluated against third-instar Culex quinquefasciatus larvae following WHO bioassay protocols. Mortality rates were recorded after 24 hours of exposure, and lethal concentration LC50 values were determined using Probit analysis. Additionally, RNA sequencing was conducted to assess the molecular impact of the extract on mosquito larvae. Differential gene expression analysis performed using edgeR and Gene Ontology enrichment, revealed significant alterations in metabolic and stress response pathways.
