Export Concordance Master Tape, 1983-1989 (M360V1)

The Harmonized Commodity Master File contains commodity descriptions, classifications and cross classification needed to implement the conversion to the HS systems effective with January 1989 statistical data. The file consists of eith separate sections each identified by a one-digit code located in the first position of the data record. All records are fixed length of 248 characters each. The entire file is in sequence by the indicator code and the commodity number. The sections are as follows: 1) Exports, 2) Imports, 3) Export 1, 2, 3 and 5-digit END Use descriptions, 4) Import 1, 2, 3, or 5-digit END USE Description, 5) SITC Descriptions, 6) HS Commodity Descriptions, 7) Export SIC Descriptions, and 8) Import SIC Description
