The prevalence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa is increasingly being implicated worldwide in a variety of infections, and is associated with high mortality rates. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of a mucoid strain P. aeruginosa JNQH-PA57 that exhibits high levels of resistance to cephalosporins and carbapenem. The dataset presented in this study provides essential insights into the underlying mechanisms of the highly antimicrobial-resistant of this mucoid P. aeruginosa strain and assists in the development of effective control strategies.
