Defence Statistical Yearbook — 2016 edition

For the 2016 edition of the Statistical Yearbook of the Ministry of Defence, the editorial charter and the contents of the book have been revised. — The editorial charter had not been amended for many years and in fact no longer fully corresponded to the standards of other publications of the Public Statistics Service. To remedy this, the book now has two distinct parts: a study file that will be specific to each edition, and thematic factsheets that shed light on issues specific to the Ministry of Defence. These fact sheets are divided into two parts: on the one hand, a summary text that analyses and explains the subject covered and, on the other, a page that contains the main figures or figures (maps, graphs, etc.). — The content of the book has also been modified with complementary themes which were not dealt with until then: the link with the Nation, the ministry’s energy expenditure, the ministry’s oil consumption, retirement pensions, parity within the ministry.
