Study of environmental microorganisms

Microorganisms play an important driving role in the metabolic cycling of nutrients and heavy metals in river sediments. However, there is still a lack of in-depth knowledge about the spatial and temporal evolution patterns of microbial community structure, and a high-precision identification of the microbial communities performing specific ecological functions would help to better understand and control the main factors of these metabolic processes.
