资源简介:
This dataset contains elicited basic vocabulary from the Salawati dialect of Ma'ya with Salim Mayalibit (born 1963), a native speaker of Salawati Ma'ya. All words are recorded in isolation, utterance-final, and utterance-medial context. The session was recorded on 29 November 2019, in Kalobo village (Salawati island, Raja Ampat regency, Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). Note that the handwritten ID for this session in the Fieldnotes ('MAD002') is incorrect; these Fieldnotes are associated with this item, SAL002. The recording of this session is split across two audio files, SAL002-01 and SAL002-02. There is no consent file associated with this item, although the speaker gave oral consent to be recorded prior to the beginning of the session. This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian' (PF19@004); additional fieldwork funds were provided by a Moray Endowment Fund from the University of Edinburgh. Further deposits are available in the related DataShare sub-community (https://datashare.ed.ac.uk/handle/10283/8573).
