The Injections of Mitochondrial Fusion Promoter M1 during Proestrus Disrupt the Progesterone Secretion and the Estrous Cycle in the Mouse.

Mitochondrial fusion promotor, M1, was used to study the impact of mitochondria dynamics in the female reproductive system. The M1 treatment in mice can lead to acute and reversible disruption of estrous cycles in vagina smears. The ovarian samples were collected after the control and M1 injections on the evening of proestrus. The comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data was performed. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for mouse ovaries after the treatments of M1 or control on the day of proestrus.
