Halophytes rhizosphere and endosphere metagenome Metagenome

In this study, a combination of molecular tools (denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) and barcoded pyrosequencing) as used to assess the bacterial composition present in the endosphere and rhizosphere of three halophyte plants in their natural environment (sediment) and in aquaponics: Halimione portulacoides, Salicornia ramosissima and Sarcocornia perennis.
