All outcomes were clinical outcome assessments using patient-reported outcomes for pain and function. For three cross-over trials (Cheshire 1994; Linde 2011; Ojala 2006), the risk of bias with judgments arising from the period and carryover effect was noted in the overall risk of bias column.
