Research into cancer is well documented by the inclusion of files relating to applications for grants. These files contain the names of the principal investigator(s) and other participants (if applicable), details of the research to be undertaken and concise details of the aims, methods, expected results and their relevance to both specific and general aspects of cancer. The records also contain correspondence received from and copies of letters sent to Sir (Frank) Macfarlane Burnet. The files located at 12/10781 relate to Special Unit equipment at the Prince of Wales Hospital, unproven cancer treatments and funds invested by the Council.
