VPRS 3473 Land Application Registers

Seven volumes bound with brown and red cloth. The first two volumes are marked "Lands correspondence, Mines Department, No. 95 and No. 96." The remaining five volumes are marked, "Land Applications, Mines Department, No. 97 to No. 101."These volumes control the land application files arranged in VPRS 3472. Each application or letter was entered into the Register chronologically or at the time of receipt from the Lands Department. Individual applications were not given a separate reference number. Rather a dual volume/page number was allocated. The first number relates to the volume number that the application was entered in and the second number relates to the page number on which the application appears in the relevant volume. A name index to these references numbers is at the front of each volume.The Registers contain the following details on each application:1. The Lands Department correspondence number.2. The name of the applicant.3. The parish/township/area of the allotment.4. A diagram of the allotment.5. A precise of the subject of the application.6. Notes as to whether a mining lease has been issued for the land in question.7. The reply of the Mines Department - whether the Mines Department has an objection to the sale or lease of land.8. The date of reply.

本数据集共7卷，采用棕、红两色布料装帧。前两卷标注为“矿产部土地往来函件，第95号、第96号”；剩余五卷标注为“矿产部土地申请文件，第97号至第101号”。
本系列卷宗对应VPRS 3472分类下的土地申请档案。每份申请或函件均按时间顺序，或于收到土地管理部门相关材料的当日录入登记册。单份申请不会分配单独的索引号，而是采用“卷号-页码”的双位编号体系：第一位为该申请录入所在的卷号，第二位为该申请在对应卷中的页码。各卷卷首均附有针对上述编号的姓名索引。
登记册中记录了每份申请的如下信息：
1. 土地管理部门往来函件编号
2. 申请人姓名
3. 地块所属的教区/镇区/片区
4. 地块示意图
5. 申请事项的概要说明
6. 涉案土地是否已核发采矿租约的相关备注
7. 矿产部的回复意见：即矿产部是否反对该土地的出售或租约申请
8. 回复日期
