This statistic represents the number of hospitalizations and re-hospitalizations for attempted suicide in France from 2004 to 2011, by sex. During the period in question, more than 166,000 men were hospitalized once after a suicide attempt, while 3,500 were admitted six times and more to the hospital for the same reasons.
