Gene expression patterns associated with fruit quality attributes, including skin and pulp firmness, pigmentation, nutrient content, and bioactive compounds, change throughout the fruit maturation process. In this project, gene expression analyses were conducted in different passion fruit (P. tenuifila) tissues during fruit maturation. Genes associated with skin and pulp properties, nutrient accumulation, and bioactive compound production were identified.
