RNA sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from fetal sheep exposed to lipopolysaccharide (LPS).

Differential gene expression of PBMCs at day 1 (pre-LPS exposure) and day 5 following Repeated LPS administration to sheep fetuses LPS boluses were administered intravenously to fetal sheep. Four LPS boluses were given with increasing doses of 0.3µg, 1.5µg, 3µg, and 15µg on day 1, 3, 4, and 5 respectively. Physiological responses were assessed at 0,1, 3, and 5 hours relative to the LPS bolus. PMBCs were isolated from whole blood on day 1 and 5 prior to the daily LPS bolus.
