Nigeria (2007): National AIDS/HIV, Reproductive Health & Serological Survey (NARHS Plus)

The major objective of NARHS Plus is to obtain accurate HIV prevalence estimates and information on specific risk factors related to HIV infection at the national, zonal and to some extent at state and sites levels. Such data will inform the design, implementation and evaluation of the national response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Nigeria. In addition, it will provide information on the situation of reproductive and sexual health in Nigeria, the variety of factors that influence reproductive and sexual health, and to provide data regarding the impact of ongoing Family Planning behaviour change interventions, and to yield insights into existing gaps that may require attention.
