REP-VHU — Tonnages collected Grinders since 2018

## The dataset The dataset presents the tonnages supported since 2018 by mills in the sector “End-of-life motor vehicles” (VHU), from SYDEREP, by region. **Date of update of the data: August 2021.** The data presented in this file are derived from the declarations of the VHU centres and the crushers approved in France and in the overseas departments and regions, since 2018 (declarations made on SYDEREP between 1 February and 31 March of each year). **The published data shall comply with the following statistical rules:** * At least 3 VHU centres or shredders in the department or region; * No VHU centre or grinder in the department or region accounts for more than 80 % of the collection of ELVs or carcass management. Data from departments or regions for which these rules do not apply are indicated as NC (No News Release). Data on origins are sometimes misinformed by the VHU centres and not all have been taken over. This explains why the sum of origins may be less than the total number of VHUs supported, which is well-informed. ## Data update rules The data are updated annually by the declarations of eco-organisms and individual producers. During the year N reporting period for year N-1 data, changes could be made to the reporting of data from previous years (N-2 and N-3). **Generalities on REP streams** The State has entrusted ADEME with the establishment and management of compulsory annual declarations registers of market participants in the following REP sectors: * DIY and gardening article (ABJ); * Sports and leisure items (ASL); * Pleasure or sports boats (BPS); * Perforating medical devices for self-treatment patients (DISP-MED); * Furnishings (EA); * Household packaging (EMBM); * Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE); * Lubricating or industrial oils (LUB); * Toys (JOUET); * Unused medicines (MNU); * Graphic papers (PAP); * Batteries and accumulators (PA); * Peumatics (PNEU); * Chemicals (PCHIM); * Construction products or materials of the building sector (PMCB); * Tobacco products (TABAC); * Textiles for clothing, linen and footwear (TLC); * Passenger cars, vans, 2 or 3-wheel motor vehicles and quadricycles (VEHICULE). This list will be enriched as the AGEC law comes into force with: * In the course of 2023, the Packaging sector of catering activities (EMBR), * At 01/01/2024, chewing gums (GM) and single-use sanitary textiles (TSUU), * At 01/01/2025, the Fishing Gear (EP), Technical Aid (AT) and Industrial and Commercial Packaging (EMBIC) sector. These registers are managed in the application [SYDEREP](https://syderep.ademe.fr/), allowing eco-organisms or individual producers to provide direct information on their data. As the purpose of these registers is to measure the overall performance at national level of each of the REP streams, the ADEME draws up and publishes annually an inventory of the sectors and various publications with a number of aggregated indicators, supplemented by elements of qualitative analysis from the actors in each sector. **Find all [publications on REP channels](https://expertises.ademe.fr/economie-circulaire/filieres-a-responsabilite-elargie-producteurs-rep/dossier/donnees-publications-fillieres-rep) in the dedicated pages.** ### Datasets available on REP channels Data from these registers are now available at [https://data.ademe.fr](https://data.ademe.fr/): * The list of producers registered in SYDEREP with their unique identifier; * The quantities placed on the market for the BPS, DISP_MED, EA, EEE, PA, PCHIM, PNEU and TLC sectors; * The tonnages collected for the EA, EEE, PA, PNEU and VEHICULE sectors. as well as certain indicators, as they are made available. In addition to and in compliance with [L. 541-10-14 of the Environmental Code](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/codes/article_lc/LEGIARTI000041583857), ADEME will enrich these datasets: **In June 2023**, by the list of members of eco-organisms. This new list will be updated once a year in June of each year. **Last quarter 2023**, by the following information for each eco-organism and individual system, for data available in 2023: * The quantities of products placed on the market and the level of achievement of the waste prevention and management objectives referred to in Article L. 541-10 II; * The quantities of waste collected and treated and its distribution according to the methods of treatment of such waste; * The geographical areas where each of the stages of treatment of the various material flows carried out by them or on their behalf are carried out by mentioning, for each zone, the nature and quantities of waste thus treated. These new lists will be updated once a year in the last quarter of each year.
