Sanitation – Treatment plants: Monitoring the quality of treated water

The data disseminated here are derived from measurements carried out regularly as part of the self-monitoring of remediation works. Self-monitoring is the monitoring of the operation of sanitation works dependent on local authorities: sewage treatment plant and collection network. This monitoring shall be carried out under the responsibility of the contracting authority. The self-monitoring of collective sanitation systems is regulated by the Order of 21 July 2015, which replaces the Order of 22 June 2007. It is supplemented by the technical note of 7 September 2015, which concerns the self-monitoring of the discharge works of the collection system. The regulatory self-monitoring points (A) of each sewer system are specified in scenarios disseminated by the SANDRE (purification plant and collection network). Non-regulatory points are logical points (S for the wastewater treatment plant and R for the sewerage system). The SANDRE scenarios are specific documents that formalise the exchange of data (nature, frequency of transmission) between project owners and water stakeholders. The SANDRE format allows to have a unique codification and a common language between the actors.
