This study investigates the genetic basis of thirteen distinct LHON cases using comprehensive sequencing to identify mito-nuclear genetic factors contributing to disease pathogenesis. Our findings underscore the importance of nuclear gene involvement in LHON cases with inconclusive mtDNA mutations.
