This dataset encompassed a systematic evaluation of the nutritional and health benefits associated with H. undatus flower soup, which serves as a quintessential exemplar of Cantonese slow-cooked soup.The findings shed light on the multifaceted nature of CSCS as a culinary creation that seamlessly blends taste and therapeutic potential.The findings also contribute to a broader understanding of how diet-based traditional practices can be leveraged to address contemporary health challenges in the management of metabolic and oxidative stress-related conditions.Dataset 1_thesis: This folder contains all the raw and processed data involved in this thesis, specifically five chapters and the thesis file, including: literature review; basic chemical analysis and primary bioactivities of the Hylocereus undatus flower soup; untargeted metabolomics analysis of Hylocereus undatus flower soup; potential therapeutic effects of Hylocereus undatus flower on diabetes and related complications; and the nephroprotective efficacy of Hylocereus undatus flower and its principal flavonoid, kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, on rat glomerular mesangial cells.Dataset 2_others: This folder contains other information and materials related to the research, including the research mind map, research protocol, tools used, published articles, and other in-process data.
