Drinking water protected areas in Nienburg/Weser

The designation of water protection areas (WSG) is used to protect groundwater and thus the drinking water resources. In these areas, no pollutants may enter the subsurface and groundwater due to above-ground uses. A WSG consists of different water protection zones to protect the groundwater in the catchment area from adverse effects.
