Sugarcane aphid, Milanaphis sacchari is a pest of economic importance on sorghum crop which causes considerable amount of damage in the field. In response to aphid feeding, plant brings changes in physiological and biochemical processes through differential gene expression to defend itself from aphids. We performed the transcriptomic analysis of three different sorghum genotypes that which include RTx430 (wild type), SC265 (resistant) and SC1345 (susceptible) to find out the changes occurred in gene expression of the aphid resistant genotype. Unraveling of important genes in resistant genotype would help in determining the mechanism of resistance possessed by it.
