Dataset for Serpentine Weathering under Arid Conditions: Implications for Alteration Products and Organic Preservation on Mars

The Excel file contains two Manuscript tables (Table 1 and Table 2), source data for Manuscript figures (Figure 3 to Figure 12), and Supporting Information source data (Figure S1, Figure S2, Figure S3, and Table S1) for an arid serpentine-derived weathering study in the western Junggar Basin, Xinjiang. This dataset includes XRD patterns (2θ–intensity), VNIR–SWIR reflectance spectra and FTIR diffuse-reflectance MIR spectra (wavelength/wavenumber vs reflectance), major- and trace-element compositions, total and organic carbon contents (TC and TOC), Raman spectra (Raman shift vs intensity) for serpentine/carbonate/Fe-bearing phases, and masses plus weight percentages of coarse and fine grain-size fractions.
