Gulf Kids Environment Day 2013

This project will contribute to conducting the 2013 Gulf Kids Environment Day (GKED) in Croydon. This will be the 3rd year of what has become a successful community event, providing an important educational and social activity to not only Croydon kids, but kids from across the region, including neighbouring remote communities of Normanton, Karumba, Georgetown, Forsayth, Mt Surprise as well as distance educated children from surrounding remote cattle stations. The aim of the event is to engage local kids both from the towns and remote stations of the Northern Gulf region in a range of fun activities which promote environmental awareness of the unique geographical and natural attributes of their area,本项目将助力在克罗伊登（Croydon）举办2013年海湾儿童环境日（Gulf Kids Environment Day, GKED）。这已是这项颇受欢迎的社区活动的第三届，其为克罗伊登乃至整个区域的儿童提供了兼具教育价值与社交意义的重要活动，参与群体覆盖周边偏远社区的儿童——包括诺曼顿（Normanton）、卡伦巴（Karumba）、乔治敦（Georgetown）、福赛思（Forsayth）、芒特瑟普赖斯（Mt Surprise）的儿童，以及周边偏远畜牧站点的远程教学儿童。本次活动的宗旨在于，吸引北海湾区域各城镇与偏远畜牧站的本地儿童参与各类趣味活动，以此提升他们对家乡独特地理与自然禀赋的环境认知。
