Dataset on Coastal Scenery Assessment using the Coastal Scenic Evaluation System in Tasikmalaya and Garut, Indonesia

This dataset presents the application of the Coastal Scenic Evaluation System (CSES) at seven beaches along the coasts of Tasikmalaya and Garut, Indonesia, which directly face the Indian Ocean. The system was developed to reduce subjectivity in coastal landscape classification and has been widely used in many countries, although its application in Indonesia remains limited. The dataset includes ratings of 18 physical parameters and 8 human parameters obtained through field observations and processed with CSES V1-2018, a generic open-source MATLAB® code. The outputs provided are text files, rating tables, bar charts, weighted average graphs, membership degree curves, and D-index classifications for each surveyed beach. This dataset is useful as a baseline for coastal condition evaluation, supporting conservation area management, beach tourism development, and comparative analysis with other coastal landscapes worldwide.本数据集展示了海岸景观评价系统（Coastal Scenic Evaluation System, CSES）在印度尼西亚塔西克马拉亚与加鲁特沿岸直面印度洋的7处海滩的应用情况。该系统旨在降低海岸景观分类中的主观性，目前已在多国广泛应用，尽管其在印度尼西亚的应用仍较为有限。本数据集包含通过实地观测获取、并经CSES V1-2018（一款通用开源MATLAB®代码）处理得到的18项物理参数与8项人文参数的评分结果。所提供的输出成果包括各受访海滩的文本文件、评分表格、柱状图、加权平均曲线图、隶属度曲线以及D指数分类结果。本数据集可作为海岸状况评估的基准，可为保护区管理、海滩旅游开发以及与全球其他海岸景观开展对比分析提供支持。
