Data from "Pygocephalids pancrustaceans from the Carboniferous of Nova Scotia, Canada, with comments on the cuticular micro-structures of Pygocephalamorpha"

This upload contains two folders: the Data folder, which includes the shield measurements files (.csv) for each pygocephalomorph specimens measured. The name of the files corresponds to the repository number of the specimen. The measurement were taken directly from the digital pictures with ImageJ2. The script folder, which includes two files: the functions.R file, which contains all functions necessary to clean the data; (2) the shield-measurements.R file, which is the script to clean the data and to produce the summary table of the descriptive statistics. The table was produced with the R package gtsummary. Measurement abbreviations. Lals, length of the antero-lateral spines; Lr, length of the rostrum; Ls, length of the shield without rostrum; N, number of specimens; Na, non-applicable (not measured); Wa, anterior width; Wm, maximum width; Wp, posterior width.
