„Lobito (Post Westafrika). Schwarze Musiker“ („Lobito (Post West Africa). Black musicians”). A group of about sixteen young men and boys, wearing trousers, jackets and uniform caps, are standing in front of a post building. The majority of them are playing brass. The man standing rightmost is conducting the group. The man behind him is holding a book in his left hand. A banner is met between them with an inscription on it. Four other boys are standing in the background on the left side of the picture, watching the musicians.; Wilhelm Friedrich Karl Blohm, born in 1884 in Keffenbrinck (Germany), was a carpenter. In 1911 he married Marie Bürger. He started his missionary work in 1911 in Unyamwezi (East Africa). After being imprisoned by the Belgians from 1916 till 1917 he returned to Germany. From 1922 till 1945 he worked as a missionary in Baziya (South Africa). He died in Baziya in 1945.
