The greatest known areal storm rainfall depths for the contiguous United States are presented for the winter, spring, summer, and fall seasons. The depths are for 100, 200, 1000, 5000, and 10,000 square miles (259, 518, 2590, 12,950, 25,900 km²) for 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours.
