Thermal imaging done during discharging of four Nissan Leaf first generation large-size pouch cells, differently orientated during electric vehicle life (R-rotated oriented and F-flat oriented). Results coupled with other non-destructive techniques and published in "Correlative non-destructive techniques to investigate ageing and orientation effects in automotive Li-ion pouch cells" paper in Joule journal. Dataset consists of eight *.mat files where every file is 3D matrix (temperature data over battery surface (2D) and third dimension represents discharging time at every 2s). Relative_Temperature.mat files consist of battery surface relative temperature maps, while Temperature_Derivative.mat files consist of battery surface temperature derivative over time maps during discharging. Data in Excel format present voltage-capacity dependence during discharging, mean relative temperature, maximum relative temperature, maximum temperature derivative over the battery surface during discharging and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurement at different depth-of-discharge (DoD). There is also comparative video file (Video S1) generated from *.mat files.
