Global Near Real-Time Temperature and Salinity Profile Data from the GTSPP project from 13 July 2003 to 20 August 2003 (NODC Accession 0001143)

Physical, current, meteorological, and other data were collected from XBT casts, buoys, and other instruments from a World-Wide distribution. Data were collected from 13 July 2003 to 20 August 2003. Data were submitted by the Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) in support of the Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography (Argo), the Gulf of Mexico NOAA/NMFS Ship of Opportunity (SOOP), and the Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP). Physical parameters include profiles of temperature and salinity. Current parameters include current direction and speed. Meteorological parameters include dry bulb temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity, and air pressure.本数据集采集自全球分布的抛弃式温深计（Expendable Bathythermograph, XBT）投放剖面、海洋浮标及其他仪器，涵盖物理、海流、气象及其他相关数据。数据采集时段为2003年7月13日至2003年8月20日。相关数据由海洋环境数据服务中心（Marine Environmental Data Service, MEDS）提交，用于支持地转海洋学实时观测阵列（Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography, Argo）、墨西哥湾NOAA/NMFS 机会船舶观测计划（Ship of Opportunity, SOOP）以及全球温度-盐度试点项目（Global Temperature-Salinity Pilot Project, GTSPP）的相关工作。其中，物理参数包含温度与盐度剖面；海流参数包含流向与流速；气象参数包含干球温度、风速、风向、相对湿度与大气气压。
