资源简介:
Lepidoptera are major pollinators, are important pests in agroecosystems, are key to the study of the impact of climate change and are important biological models. Project Psyche aims to generate high-quality reference genome sequences for all species of Lepidoptera found in the continent of Europe. Europe is home to approximately 11,000 species of Lepidoptera, including butterflies and moths, in 1984 genera and 90 families. Phase 1 of Psyche will complete the first 2,000 species’ genomes using long-read and long-range sequencing technologies, and release these genomes openly to the INSDC archives. Psyche is delivered by a multinational consortium led by Tree of Life at the Wellcome Sanger Institute (UK) (see https://www.projectpsyche.org). The consortium includes the University of Neuchatel (Switzerland), the University of Florence (Italy), the University of Lund (Sweden), the Institute of Evolutionary Biology, Barcelona (Spain), and the University of Oulu (Finland). Please note that while these data are released openly for reuse (see https://www.sanger.ac.uk/datasharing/), you are encouraged to approach the Project Psyche collaborators to discuss publication plans at psyche@sanger.ac.uk.
