Card Layer Specific Energy Performance Density 100 m in NRW

The map shows the specific energy performance density at 100 m above ground level. The map was modelled throughout NRW in a resolution of 100 x 100 m and validated with the yields of existing wind turbines in NRW. The specific energy power density is a measure of the performance of the wind flowing through an area. It indicates how much power (in watts) is implemented per square meter of rotor area. The specific energy power density gives an indication of how a location is suitable for wind energy use.
