Environmental zones Wuppertal

<p>The data set comprises the polygons of the two environmental zones in the Wuppertal urban area that have been in force since 15 February 2009. The environmental zones were defined as a measure of the air pollution control plan, and the project management was carried out by the district government of Düsseldorf. Since 1 July 2014, the Wuppertal environmental zones may only be used with vehicles of pollutant group 4 (green badge) or with an exemption permit. The surrounding areas of the low-emission zones were digitized on the basis of the official city map of Wuppertal, a slightly generalized map on a scale of 1:15,000. When using the data with background maps that are true to the ground plan, positional deviations of the order of 10 meters are therefore created. Changes in the demarcation of the Wuppertal environmental zones are not to be expected in the long term. The dataset is available under an Open Data license (CC BY 4.0).</p> <div> </div>
